Espirit de Rekuiem「エスピリト・デ・レクイエム」is an antagonist of Guardian Angels Of The Sound, the third season of the Guardian Angels Of The Sky series. Prior to the events of the season, Espirit de Rekuiem, usually referred as "Rekuiem" only, was one of the ruling politicians of today’s Oratorium. Only a few days before the conductor of darkness has turned the country into a field of darkness, Rekuiem introduced his new plan to leave the country's interrogation progress with their rivaling neighbor.

Personality

Both as human and as cursed tune, Rekuiem seems to be rather ruthless and generally believes that going back to the roots, and staying there, is the best strategy in modern times. He thinks that any new progress that differs from what used to be, is a mistake and that any approach towards the unknown should be stopped immediately. Though, despite his narrow minded sight onto things, Rekuiem, the politician, seems to actually care about the country, as he apparently only wants the best for it. Though the way he tries to achieve this, may bring more problems towards Oratorium than it may fix. Yet, Rekuiem appears to be too stubborn and ignorant to acknowledge this.

As Cursed Tune, the only thing that really changes within Rekuiem is that he doesn’t care for the Oratorium at all anymore. He seems to have given up in this country he tried to improve and now has chosen his own path. Leaving the country in darkness, Rekuiem seems to have accepted that this is the best that could ever have happened to the country and hopes to rebuild it one day, based on how he imagines it.

Powers

As Cursed Tune, Rekuiem possesses the power of spirits, which includes all pain inhabitants of the Oratorium, who were swallowed by the darkness, but also the rage of the former leaders of the royal forces, that fought each other in the past. All these emotions of the spirits follow the lead of Rekuiem’s Suzu. The emotions of the spirits usually manifest in a dark fog, surrounding the places Rekuiem approaches, trapping the targets in a cage of fog or attacking whoever is in Rekuiem’s way.

Etymology

Espirit de Rekuiem - Espirit possibly comes from the Spanish "espíritu", which means "ghost". While Rekuiem might be a reference to "Requiem", a musical composition which is usually played during a Requiem Mass.
